Crocodile Stitch Boots

My friends not so subtly suggested that I make a pair of these for all of them.  Posting a picture on face book no less.  Not sure if I would want to make more than one pair, I commented on the photo that I couldn't find the pattern.  I wouldn't want to get their hopes up.
After searching and reviewing many similar free patterns, I purchased the pattern for this project.  Most of the time I use free patterns, but I believe this one was well worth the $5.50 it cost.  Clicking on the title above will take you to Bonita Patterns' Etsy shop where you can purchase this and many other beautiful patterns.

I think that stopping at this point would make great slippers, but adding the crocodile upper is what really adds style.

One finished.

I made the first pair in my size, just in case I didn't want to make any more.

I really like the pattern so...I made a second pair.

The kitten buttons that I found in my sewing stash really work for this pair.

Yes, I used the left over yarn from the first pair to make the sole of the second pair.

A few stray ends left to clip.
The second pair is the medium size from the pattern.  One of the pair is a little bigger than the other.  I need to work on my consistency.

I have picked out the yarn from my stash for the next pair.  I will keep going for awhile as everyone seems to like them, and I don't mind making them.
